Welcome to Center City Cafe! 

One of Steve Weirich's and Darren Worley's favorite weekend pastimes is smoking beef brisket.  For Weirich, 32, a Texas native, it's as natural as a San Antonio sunrise.  For Worley, 35, a pork-raised North Carolinian, well, let's just say he loves the relaxed camaraderie.

But neither have had much time for relaxing lately, as they have been working to open Center City Cafe (114 N. Elm St.; 274-8646; http://www.centercitycafeinc.com).

Center City, named for the new park under construction nearby, is in the Piedmont Building space formerly occupied by Elm Street Ice Cream-n-Grille.  Read more from GoTriad.com.
